One of the most effective of the standing sweeps – you can’t practice it enough. Not pictured well is the fact that RAy-ray’s right foot is hooked behind Jen’s left knee. This keeps Jen from keeping her balance as she’s pushed at the hip.
The best escape is to see it coming, and kick off the left hand grip on your heel, but be forewarned there are a number of variations and follow-ups off this set up.
Did you notice her expert knee slide? Or that she changes hands in the middle (Yes it’s a composite of two sweep demos)? But it doesn’t matter which hand you hold you’ll get the “free ride”!
